Historic Roofing Company is a small family run company,
in business for over 25 years. We are dedicated master craftsmen, serving the Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. area.

Cliff started learning his trade over 35 years ago working with a local Sheet Metal company that also specialized in proper slate installation.  This company and the men that mentored him are long but gone, but Cliff keeps his love for the same tradition and training going strong today. 

On May 21, 2015, Cliff won Preservation Maryland's Artisan Award at the Best of Maryland Awards celebration!  Cliff's passion for preservation can be contagious.  "I just love history and old buildings.  I even love the smell of an old building.  I have always said: 'The truth is in the history, but not everything that people think is history is true.'  That's why it's important to keep old buildings ~ so that we don't lose our own story.  We have to do it for the children so that they will be able to understand and feel their past."  To Cliff, it's not just a job, it's a passion.
