General Information

Madison Street Salvage (Franklin Heritage Inc.)

Our Mission is to preserve the integrity of Central Indiana's architectural history. We believe in preserving historic properties at all times when feasible, but if the structure cannot be saved our goal is to save every significant piece of architecture. Madison Street Salvage is a vessel for Franklin Heritage, Inc. to raise funds and continue historic restoration projects in Franklin such as The Historic Artcraft Theatre while also promoting other local businesses.

Madison Street Salvage functions primarily on the generosity of its customers and the citizens of central Indiana. If you are interested in donating items please contact us and we will work out a time for you to drop it off at our shop (preferred), or for us to possibly pick it up if needed. We focus on pre-1970 architectural salvage and cannot accept some newer items due to space limitations; however, we always need: wood doors & windows, claw foot tubs, vintage mirrors & vanities, cast iron sinks, grates, mantles, hinges, door hardware & knobs, signs, letters, cabinets, wood flooring, etc.

Do you know of a home that is scheduled for demolition or have a large project that you need help with? We have a group of volunteers and staff that are happy to help you out! We have salvaged several buildings/barns and are insured, we can get the job done correctly and safely. Please allow advanced notice for large jobs to allow for scheduling time.
