C.A. Johnson Ornament Restoration

Charles A. Johnson has been restoring stone and metal for over 22 years. His specialty is the outdoor garden ornament; repair for stone and fine finishes for metal. Most of his clients are in Westchester County, NY and Greenwich, CT but there are objects that he has restored throughout the US.

Johnson has first hand experience of seeing seasonal effects on outdoor ornament in the Northeast. He currently is conservator technician for Barbara Israel Garden Antiques. His training is in classical sculpture in which he earned a Master's degree in Figurative Sculpture from The Graduate School of Figurative Art of the New York Academy of Art.

Before his master studies, he trained under sculptor T.J. Dixon in S. CA for many years. He has sculpted prototypes for garden ornament reproduction, worked at Studio EIS in Brooklyn, NY and worked as an assistant to Nina Akamu on The Leonardo Da Vinci Horse at Tallix, in Beacon, NY. With over 29 years of related experience, Johnson also holds a certification for stone restoration from Cathedral Stone in Hanover, MD.
